When trying to determine how much padding a jacket has, it is helpful to check its g/m², (grams per square meter) range. This value can give you an indication of how thick the jacket is. Generally, lightweight transitional jackets will have a g/m² range of 50 to 150 g/m², while our warmest winter jackets will range from 280 to 360 g/m².
