SIMPLE WAYS TO MAINTAIN THE QUALITY OF YOUR RAGWEAR CLOTHES

We believe that taking care of items is one of the most important things you can do as a consumer. It ensures that your clothes last longer and also help the environment by reducing waste production.

These clothing care tips will help you maintain your clothes and ensure they last as long as possible.

Washing tips

  • Wash clothes separately

If you have a lot of black clothes and a lot of white clothes, it's likely that at some point you'll end up with a grey shirt. If you wash them together, this will happen more quickly than if your clothes are all different colours. Wash dark clothes with dark clothes and light clothes with light ones.

  • Wash inside out

This is especially important for knits and collared shirts: if they get caught on something while being washed, they can get pulled out or torn at the seams. Plus, there's no need to show off those rough edges!

  • Wash on 30°C or the finest program on 30°C for flat knits. Handwash for caps and scarfs

Clothes made from natural fibres like cotton  become softer when washed at low temperatures (30°C). If you want to make sure that your clothes don't shrink too much when washing them, use a special programme on your machine. Also keep in mind when you use washing detergent, better to use not aggressive ones.

  • Remove belt, imitation fur from goods before washing

If you wear a belt or imitation fur on your clothes, remove it before washing the garment. If this is not done, the objects will be damaged when washed in the washing machine and can even get stuck in the lint filter.

Ironing tips

  • Don't iron decoration

If there are buttons or other decorations on your garment, don't iron them as they may melt.

  • Iron on reverse side if there are placements print or all-over print

Garments with an all-over print shouldn't be ironed directly onto their front side because this could distort or crease the design. Instead, turn inside out the item of clothing and then iron it.

Drying tips

  • Padded jacket

For padded jackets it's important to shake after washing and dry flat in the shade. This will prevent the padding from clumping together and becoming lumpy.

  • Drying symbols

When you're drying your clothes, be sure to check out the little square at the bottom of the care tag. If it has one drooping line, this means you can hang your clothes to dry on a washing line outside. If it has three vertical lines in it, this means drip dry your clothes on a rack indoors. And if it has one horizontal line, this means dry the garment flat to keep its shape.

If your plan is to maximise the longevity of garments, we believe that you were able to find this guide useful.Treat your clothes with the care and attention that they deserve.
