More Trees, Less Black – Our Alternative to Black Friday
Why ragwear chooses sustainability over sales – and plants trees instead of offering deals
Why we don’t celebrate Black Friday
Every year, we consciously decide against Black Friday – and for good reason. The shopping day is all about excessive consumption, mountains of packaging, piles of returns, and enormous CO₂ emissions. Calculations from previous years show that Black Friday alone can produce hundreds of thousands of tons of CO₂ worldwide – roughly equivalent to 435 flights from London to New York and back. → Source: CleanHub
Green Friday Instead of Black Friday – We Plant Trees
In partnership with Tree-Nation, we launched the “More Trees, Less Black” campaign. From Black Friday to Cyber Monday, we plant one tree for every purchase made in our online store. Our goal: offer a positive, planet-friendly alternative to the typical shopping frenzy.
Making an Impact – Tree by Tree
Together with our community, we’ve already achieved:
- 7.462 trees planted
- 1.177,37 tonnes of CO₂ offset
Support a Sustainable Future
When you shop with ragwear during this period, you’re not only treating yourself – you’re also giving back to the environment. Your order plants a tree and helps us shrink our carbon footprint.
Join the movement and take part in our sustainable mission: #MoreTreesLessBlack
